Tasting Notes

  • Colour: Deep garnet red with inky hues.
  • Bouquet: Magnificently dark, complex, mysterious, with layers of nuanced dark berry fruit and spice.
  • Palate: Fine, velvety, intense fruit, with dark berry fruits, spice, spicy vanilla combining to give superb structure, complexity, elegance and length.
  • Vineyard & Vintage Comments: In exceptional years (to date 2006 and 2010) we select at the winery what we consider to be the best barrel from each of our four Shiraz single vineyards, and make a blend of 450 litres (600 bottles). The result is a truly exceptional wine. The 2010 harvest was again hot, but with cool nights which combined with the cool climate characteristics of our Eden Valley vineyards and the richness of our Barossa Valley fruit the result is a wine of incredible finesse and elegance.
