Tasting Notes

  • Colour: Deep garnet/ruby red
  • Bouquet: rich and immense aromas of black fruits, spice and dark chocolate.
  • Palate: A concentrated palate loaded with black plums, dark berries, licorice and spice, textural tannins that blend with the fruit and help retain a lengthy aftertaste.
  • Vineyard & Vintage Comments: TThe grapes come from Maverick’s vineyards across the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley, combining the very best that our different terroirs have to offer. Not surprisingly, the Shiraz variety dominates reflecting our vineyard holdings. Each component batch is of wine is vinified at our winery, very much in the Maverick house style. All the wines are matured in French oak barrels. Despite the heat and intensity of the harvest, the wine has great structure, balance, elegance with an excellent finish.
