2013 was a dream vintage for the Barossa. A cool and deliberate summer gave us perfect ripening conditions. This vintage was our first look at the established Shiraz and Cabernet on our new Vine Vale vineyard. Excellent colour, ripe tannins, fruit weight and flavour were all there. Fermentation was controlled to 25 – 30 deg C, and minimal acid or tannin adjustments are made. Since pressing the wine has rested in old oak for 18 months.
