At the northern end of the Barossa, but in the hills rolling out to Kapunda, this is the ‘Greenock red-brown earth’ of clay over limestone with all the water control that implies. The limited water and low phosphorous result in low vigour and small yields, gifting the magnificent intensity evident in this wine. This vineyard is managed organically.
