Green apples, lime, florals, spice interwoven with hints of bath salts and minerals.

Powerful fruit characters of green apples, limes, grapefruit and citrus. Lively and clean, the palate shows intense steely, mineral acidity. The wine is well balanced from start to finish and shows lovely length and texture.
Vineyard and vintage comments:
Maverick’s two hectare Riesling vineyard is situated on a naturally occurring North-East facing amphitheatre high in the Eden Valley and is perfectly situated for the production of high quality Riesling. The 2008 ripening season was hot and dry, leading to an earlier than usual harvest. The cooler nights in the Eden Valley however allowed for the development of typical varietal flavours coupled with excellent natural acidity.
